Today began with us heading up to the Napa Valley. Our first stop was to see California’s Ole Faithful. While it was interesting to see a geyser like that, I don’t think it was quite worth the $7 fee. From there we went to a winery down the road called Summers. Here we tasted some good wines and bought two bottles. We then stopped at one more place before heading towards Redwood National Forest. Heading up highway 1 was amazing! The view of the ocean and the mountains was something definitely worth seeing. The roads were quite windy as we traveled along at speeds that have only been seen on the German Autobaun. A stop was made in Eureka for dinner at a little microbrewery. I enjoyed the beer and food they had to offer there. This definitely wasn’t the last microbrewery we would be stopping at. From here we were on the home stretch to Redwood were we made it to one of the scenic overlooks of the ocean to watch the sunset.
