Drinking and driving

So yesterday after arriving in Mendoza, I walked around the city quite a bit checking out the different plazas and parks.  I of course took in some excellent food as well.  In fact I had chorizo for dinner that was fantastic!  They really know how to cook beef down here.  After dinner I hung out at the hostel with people sitting around and drinking.

Today I did a wine and bike tour.  We biked between a number of different wineries and sampled wine and took tours.  I met up with a group of students from St. Louis that are in BA for school for 4 months.  We hung out and had a good time.  I really enjoyed the day even if it was extremely hot and the bike sucked.  Luckily it wasn´t as bad as last year´s bike trip in Chile.  This trip was only 24 kilometers round trip and didn´t have any mountains that I had to bike up or down.  I didn´t drink enough wine so that I was unable to ride my bike.  With it being so hot out, I didn´t want to risk getting sick since that´s not a good way to start vacation.  Tomorrow I´m doing a canopy tour where you go back and forth across the river on zip lines.  I then need to try and get a bus out tomorrow night to Cordoba.  Hopefully everything goes as planned.
