Today I traveled to Oxford to check out the area. I had to catch the Tube to the proper train station where I was able to book a ticket to Oxford with no problems. It was nice that I was able to get a direct train. Upon arriving, I checked into my hostel, dropped my bags and headed out to walk around town. Oxford is nowhere near as big as London, or even half the size. I was quite interested to learn how the different colleges of Oxford worked. It seems that they all make up the University, but each college does its own admissions. I thought this was quite different. I went on a walking tour in the late afternoon to check out some of the colleges and get more information on the area. The guide was quite knowledgable and I got to see a number of great buildings, including a few where scenes from Harry Potter had been filmed. I had another relaxing evening walking around town some more and hanging out at the hostel.
